Moment is a messenger where you see the other person typing, character by character. It is built so that there is as little to collect as possible. There are no accounts, no phone numbers and no email addresses. This page explains exactly what exists and where.
On first launch the app generates a cryptographic key pair (X25519) on your device. The private key is
stored in the iOS Keychain with ThisDeviceOnly protection: it is not synced to iCloud and not
included in backups. It never leaves the phone. The public key is what other people add as "you" when they
scan your QR code. Because there is no server-side account, there is nothing to recover: if you lose the
device, you start over.
Messages and live keystrokes are end-to-end encrypted on your device (AES-GCM with keys derived per session via X25519 + HKDF-SHA256) and relayed through Supabase Realtime, which forwards packets without storing them. Nothing is written to a database. Messages also disappear from both devices after the timer you choose. The relay can see that some encrypted traffic passes through a channel, its size and timing — it cannot see who you are, who you talk to, or what you say.
Contacts live in a file on your device only. Names you give people are yours alone and never reach any server. Channel addresses are derived from the two keys and rotate every day, so the relay cannot tell that it is the same pair of people as yesterday.
If you turn on notifications, the app sends two values to our server: the Apple push token for this device and an opaque "mailbox" identifier. The mailbox is a hash derived from the shared secret between you and one contact; it cannot be linked to a person, a name or a key without the private key that never leaves your phone. That is the only data we store, and the only place it is stored is our Supabase project (EU region). The notification itself contains no sender, no name and no text — only "someone is knocking". You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings, which deletes the token from our server.
Settings → delete account removes the device key, all contacts and the push token from our server. It is immediate and final; there is no copy anywhere else. Deleting the app from your phone also removes the key and contacts (the push token is then cleaned up automatically within 60 days).
Moment is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.

Moment — месенджер, у якому видно, як співрозмовник друкує, літера за літерою. Він зроблений так, щоб збирати було майже нічого: немає акаунтів, номерів телефону й пошти. Нижче — що саме існує і де.
При першому запуску додаток створює на пристрої пару ключів (X25519). Приватний ключ лежить у Keychain
із захистом ThisDeviceOnly: не синхронізується з iCloud і не потрапляє в бекап. Він ніколи не
залишає телефон. Публічний ключ — це і є «ви» для тих, хто сканує ваш QR-код. Акаунта на сервері немає, тож
і відновлювати нічого: загубили пристрій — починаєте наново.
Повідомлення й живий набір шифруються на пристрої наскрізно (AES-GCM, ключі на кожну сесію через X25519 + HKDF-SHA256) і йдуть через Supabase Realtime, який лише пересилає пакети, не зберігаючи їх. У базу не пишеться нічого. Плюс повідомлення зникають з обох пристроїв за таймером, який ви обрали. Ретранслятор бачить, що через канал іде якийсь шифрований трафік, його розмір і час — але не бачить, хто ви, з ким говорите і що саме.
Контакти лежать файлом лише на вашому пристрої. Імена, які ви їм даєте, нікуди не передаються. Адреси каналів рахуються з двох ключів і змінюються щодоби, тож сервер не може зрозуміти, що це та сама пара людей, що й учора.
Якщо ви вмикаєте сповіщення, додаток надсилає на наш сервер два значення: пуш-токен Apple для цього пристрою і непрозорий ідентифікатор «скриньки». Скринька — це хеш від спільного секрету вас і конкретного контакту; пов'язати її з людиною, іменем чи ключем без приватного ключа, який не залишає телефон, неможливо. Це єдині дані, які ми зберігаємо, і зберігаються вони лише в нашому проєкті Supabase (регіон ЄС). У самому сповіщенні немає ні відправника, ні імені, ні тексту — лише «хтось стукає». Сповіщення можна вимкнути будь-коли в налаштуваннях: токен при цьому видаляється з сервера.
Налаштування → видалити акаунт прибирає ключ пристрою, всі контакти і пуш-токен із нашого сервера. Одразу й остаточно — копій більше ніде немає. Видалення додатка з телефона теж стирає ключ і контакти (токен після цього прибирається автоматично протягом 60 днів).
Moment не призначений для дітей до 13 років, і ми свідомо не збираємо жодних даних про них.
